Crown unusually located at 12'o'clock.

A 9 carat yellow gold, cushion/tonneau-shaped with a stepped, engine-turned scroll border on the case band. Snap-back case and crown at 12 o'clock. A typical ladies' cushion-case format from the 1920s / early 1930s. The case back carries a full British hallmark set.

The dial is cream/silvered in colour with bold gilt Arabic numerals, gold spade hands and no subsidiary seconds. The outer track doubles as a 24-hour military ring (13–24 alongside the standard minute track) — a common feature on watches of this era.

The movement is a manual wind, signed "Blitz" which isn't a documented house name. Although please let us know if you have more information on this! We believe it is most likely a retailer's or wholesaler's trade name stamped onto a bought-in Swiss (possibly German) movement, which was standard practice for modestly priced watches sold in Britain in the 1920s–30s.

The case shape, dial style, and hallmark format point to c.1920s–early 1930s English retail. 

Dial shows light age-spotting but numerals and hands are crisp; case edges show normal soft wear from the engine-turning being handled over a century.
