The brand
Nivada was a respected Swiss watchmaker known throughout the mid-20th century for producing robust and characterful sports watches, chronographs and purpose-built timepieces. Reference 351, dating from the 1960s, is a particularly attractive expression of the brand’s chronograph design, pairing a compact case with a beautifully balanced two-register dial and colourful tachymeter and telemeter scales. Powered by the manually wound Landeron 248 chronograph movement, the Ref. 351 combines classical Swiss mechanics with the functional, instrument-like aesthetic of the period. Today, it represents a charming and relatively uncommon example of Nivada’s vintage chronograph production.
